Hexham Restaurants & Dining | Monthly Featured Spot
From cosy market-town cafés to hidden gems worth booking ahead for, Hexham's food scene has more going on than you'd expect for its size. Each month we shine a light on one place worth your appetite — this time it's The Garden Coffee House.

Tucked away on Hallgate, just down from the Old Gaol, The Garden Coffee House is a peaceful little oasis in the old town. It's the kind of place where locals linger over a second latte and visitors discover they've found a new favourite café. Come as you are, stay as long as you like.
The café is known for its toasties (with a serious cheese pull), freshly made breakfast bagels and freshly baked scones. Step outside to the courtyard garden on sunny days for birdsong, fresh air and a flat white. Inside, it feels like a discovery: a cosy room tucked into the back streets near the Abbey, away from the high street bustle.
